About

I have 30 years of yoga practice mostly in the Satyananda tradition and have been teaching yoga for 10 years. I hold the BWYQ level 4 Yoga teaching qualification, the RYE certificate for teaching yoga techniques to children and I've completed the Satyananda Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) teaching course. I regularly attend training courses and work with other yoga teachers whose practice helps inform my own. I owe a great deal to my teacher Swami Pragyamurti of Satyananda Yoga Centre London.  I am currently enrolled in a Yoga in Healthcare training course.

I am also a qualified ITEC massage therapist and potter with a passion for cycling.

My career in Education, mainly as a Modern Languages and as a Special Needs teacher has spanned more than three decades and I am still full of energy. I believe that in order to be a good teacher you need to have a sense of balance in your life, to be creative and to love working with people. Yoga has helped me in all these areas. Over the years I have had the great privilege to work with hundreds of children, parents and other adults including many who find themselves having to cope with huge challenges and whose resilience in the face of these difficulties continues to inspire me.
